Spring flower nail art

After seeing all the lovely easter manicures pop up everywhere I was itching to do something a little more creative with my nails too, because I have seriously been neglecting them lately. I usually just pain my nails in one color and sometimes do 1 nail in a contrasting color, but seeing this cute manicure made me want to step out of my comfort zone. It was a lot of fun!

DIY face mask for super smooth skin

Having very sensitive skin I am really cautious with store bought facemasks.. They always seem to contain something that makes my skin look worse than before, so I try to use natural ingredients and mix up my own masks. This one looked gross. I looked like I stepped out of a horror movie and my man was not amused :D However, it left me with super smooth skin!

Ingredients:

-handfull of oatmeal (preferably crushed better than mine)
-a few strawberries (mine were frozen but fresh ones are better)
-a few spoons of yoghurt
-teaspoon of honey

Yoghurt and strawberries both contain certain acids that have an exfoliating effect, while honey works deflamatory. And to top it all off, the oatmeal soothes your skin. I started off with dull dry skin with a lot of red spots, and my skin was visibly smoother and more even-toned afterwards. It also tasted and smelled like dessert :)

What are your favorite facemasks?

Collection 2000 lipgloss swatches

Not sure if you can still buy these, because I have had them for ages. I bought them on holiday in Cornwall and have been using them very sparingly and with great caution not to contamine them.

Read on for more swatches!

Water and fire with Shiro

Not my best look, but I really love these colors and how it makes my eyes so blue. I only used Shiro cosmetics on my eyes finally managed to keep some of the gorgeous glitter in subrosia on my eyelid instead of on my cheeks :)

Deep ruby nails

I am not a big Nivea fan because usually their color palette is a bit too boring for me, but I tried some of their nail polishes and I absolutely love this deep red shade, called Deep Ruby. It is an intense classy red, and it was opaque in 2 coats. There was no visible nail line, but somehow there was more depth in the color than with most creme polishes I own, especially in daylight. Drying time and lasting power were average. The red in the right bottle is called Cardinal,  it is a lot brighter and a bit less opaque.

Great formula and lovely color, so I thought I'd share this one with you guys!

A little peek

I was cleaning up my bathroom shelve and figured I could take some pictures while I was at it so you can have a little peek. These are mostly products I use every day or on very regular bases, my other products are in a small drawer.  Not the most practical storage (although my hot cocoa cup fits all my brushes perfectly :p), but I'm working on it! My brushes were really dirty because I had just tried a Jersey shore-style make-up to joke around with a friend of mine :)
